You must be registered as an Apple developer. Join the Apple Developer Program for £ 79 / $ 99 per year.
All the lights? Okay! Here's how to install the iOS 15 developer beta, in eight easy steps:
- In Safari on your iPhone, go to developer.apple.com and log in using your Apple ID.
- Go to the Downloads section (you will find it in the left menu), go down to the iOS 15 beta, and tap Install Profile, then Accept.
- Open the Settings app. You should see File Download at the top of the main screen - tap this. If you can not find it, go to General> Profile and tap on the iOS 15 beta profile there.
- Tap Install on the top-right to set up the iOS 15 beta profile.
- Read the developer license and (assuming you are happy with the language) give your recommendation.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Now go to Settings> General> Software Updates, where you should see the iOS 15 beta. Tap Download and Install.
- Wait for your iPhone to finish downloading the update, then tap Install at the command prompt.
And if everything worked as it should, your iPhone will now be running iOS 15 betas.
Can I get a developer beta if I am not a developer?
If you are not a developer, but you want to set up a developer beta already, this is possible. Just be warned that this goes against Apple's terms and conditions and needless to say will cut off all warranty services if any.
You will need to find and download a copy of the iOS 15 beta profile from the non-Apple site. Google is your friend here.
Once you have downloaded the profile, set up the beta using the same method described above. You can jump to step 3.

How to install iOS 15 public beta
This is the version of iOS 15 that most of us will get ahead of the announcement, since the developer beta is, as the name suggests, for developers only. But public betas are always lagging behind the developer, and starting out after good: the first public beta has not been released, and has not been made until July 2021.
When the public beta of iOS 15 comes out, you can install it using the instructions below.
Click Register on the Apple Beta page and sign in with your Apple ID.
Enter the Beta Software Program.
Click Register for your iOS device. (If you signed up for a version of the last beta last year you will need to remove the profile for that and re-register for the new one.)
go to beta.apple.com/profile on your iOS device.
Download and install the setup process.
That will make the beta version available in the Settings app, under General> Software Update.
