If you want to move text, images, or other objects from one part of the file to another, or from one app to another, you must use the form (or cut) and paste. On a Mac or MacBook, the keyboard shortcuts for this are different for other devices, so if you are from Windows you may be confused.

How to print on Mac or MacBook
Want to copy something on a Mac? Here is what:
1. Publish the text/object you want to copy: If it is a word double click on it, it is a sentence or phrase double click and drag your cursor to the end of the section, or click on on a section, click Shift, and then click on the bottom of the section.
2. Copy the selected text by pressing Command + C, or Trim with Command + X. Both save the selection/item to the crossword, but copy it in place when truncated.
How to paste on Mac or MacBook

2. Hover over the cursor where you want to place the text/item, and Paste by pressing Command + V.

Another way to cut and pull
Most people use the short instructions listed above, but there are other alternatives.
- You only need to use your mouse:
- Select the text you want to print.
- Right-click on it.
- Choose to Cut or Copy.
- Right-click where you want to paste the text and select Paste.
You can use the menus (app dependent):
- Select the text you want to print.
- In the menu select Edit.
- Choose to Cut or Copy.
- Right-click where you want to paste the text selection and select Paste from the menu.

How to copy multiple files on Mac

Copy and paste on iPhone, iPad & Mac
An extra clue before we leave this topic is usually easy later. Since the launch of Universal Clipboard in macOS Sierra in 2016, it has been possible to Copy to your Mac and then Paste it to your iPhone or re-file.

- Highlight the item on your iPhone and tap Copy.

Both devices may also need to sign in to the same iCloud account.
You will also need to have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.
If you have any of the above, here is what you need to do to get Universal Clipboard to work on your Mac:
On Mac, open System Preferences> General.
Make sure there is a tick near 'Allow hold on this Mac and your iCloud' near the bottom of the menu.
On an iOS device, open Settings> General> Test and confirm that Handoff has a green slide.
